Sad update, went back again on 3/1 and my experience was not so great, could just be isolated but I now doubt that I will go back to this restaurant. With so many options in Greer, this one is no longer needed.
Nixtamal is a hidden gem in Greer, if you love good Mexican food and amazing Margaritas you need to come here. The patio is small but very nice, it was 75 when we visited and it was so nice to be able to eat outside!! A++

Our favorite place to go get Mexican food in Greer! The best margaritas in town, and the food always comes out HOT! I've gotten 6 different dishes in the past few months and all of them have been very good!!!

We love this place! We’ve been here a few times. My only suggestion would be to please give people their bills instead of having someone walk over with the handheld and verbally tell you your check amount. It’s very uncomfortable as a customer to not be able to check what they’re paying for & then have to tip with you staring at us. Especially when the tip starts at 20% and goes up to 25% on the screen. Huge turn off and also expects us to trust 100% there’s no errors on the bill. I think everyone had had bills be wrong at restaurants before.
Changed from 4 to 2. Second trip in a row that ended up in the can. Keep it clean guys.

I have no words to describe how terrible my experience today at this restaurant was. While accidents happen, as a business it is your responsibility to ensure your customers are taken care of. The poor customer service I received today is absolutely unacceptable and I have NEVER felt inclined to leave a negative review anywhere before this.
Shortly after being seated here, a huge metal umbrella that was improperly secured in place by the staff, was blown bottom-first directly into the side of my head. Not only did I immediately scream in pain, but it cut my head open, and I had to sit for 10 minutes before getting up and get rushed to the emergency room. In those minutes I sat there crying in pain, not a single person from their staff attended to me, checked to see if I was ok, or came out to assist in the matter. This is dangerous and a hazard for your customers. & it is absolutely not ok that after such a serious accident, no one came to check on me. This could’ve potentially be fatal had it happened to a child or an older adult.
Customers from inside of the restaurant came out to ask if I was ok, and helped me. But not one single person from their staff came out to even bother checking if I was ok. After a $500 visit to the emergency, I am left with a concussion and a gash, bruises, and severe pain. This is ridiculous and I do not wish this on anyone. Do better. This absolutely can, and SHOULD be a lawsuit.
