I really enjoy sushi on the fly. The options at the Anchorage airport are limited. But sushi on the fly is my favorite spot. Their sushi is very good and better than airport sushi I have had in NYC, their sesame chicken is excellent, and their service is very good. They also offer discounts for airline staff. If you are in ANC before they close, don’t skip this spot.

GREAT SERVICE AND BEAUTIFUL VIEWS. The Anchorage airport has incredible views and this restaurant is privy to them. The food was very good but the service was excellent. Helpful with advice on the menu and explained the many different rolls. Had the OMG roll and the monster roll. Both were made in front of me and were very good. This is a great place for a quick bite between flights.

I ordered salmon avocado roll and spicy tuna,terrible. My friend got bear bait and California which was pretty good.

Better than typical airport sushi. We had the veggie roll (ok), salmon poke (good, but note not wild salmon), orange chicken (good), and stir fry seafood rice (good, but more Chinese than Japanese 🙂).
The food was served pretty fast. They have several large tvs with sports games on, so you have some distraction. Staff is pretty friendly, and polite.
All in all a pretty good place to grab some good Japanese food before you hop on to your outbound flight.
